New grad job hut

Would it be inappropriate to ask my family doc about any job openings. I will be a new grad in May and I enjoy his office and him and could see myself working along with them. If I did ask, how would I go about it? Ask at my next sick appt. Or what?

It doesn't hurt to ask. Keep in mind that most physician offices are staffed primarily with Med Assistants rather than nurses. Their reimbursements are being squeezed - which makes it very difficult to afford a nurse. In my part of the country, the only places that employ RNs are multi-specialty clinics, especially those with infusion suites or wound care services.
