Hi all,I was waiting to post this until after I passed boards but I figured now better than never. I have no clue of what I'm doing or what I should be looking for in a new position as a FNP. I scared to death, literally. I dont wanna get thrown to the lions like I was when I was a new RN. Any suggestions of where I could build my employment race at first? I am in Florida and people are not too keen on the ARNP role yet. I hear retail clinics are willing to hire new grads but the patient reviews are not so nice. I am having nightmares about this! HELP!!!!!
completely understand where you're coming from. It's important when you do any interviews or speak with the hiring manager what you would like as a new grad. I understand it's important to find a job as soon as possible to gain experience, but it's also important to get the right support when you're starting out and make sure they don't
'throw you to the lions". Communication is key. Good luck! :)
Hi gang!
Well I passed the AANP exam with flying colors! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I was over prepared I think (in a good way). Still searching for a job down here in Miami,FL. Employers seem to want at least 6months experience. I know as a new grad I can bring a lot to the table, just don't wanna end up in a job that I hate and end up hating APN all together. I feel like I hit a bump in the road. I do not know where to begin!
