New grad interview on surgical floor - help!

Published

Hi all,

I'm a new grad interviewing on a surgical floor this week. I feel I have the general nursing interview questions nailed down and well practiced. What I am worried about is maybe a scenario question I might get specifically for this floor. Tonight I'm going to review post surgical complications ect. But was wondering if there was anything I should really spend my time reviewing or any types of questions you think the hiring manager might ask.

I really appreciate it!

Google scenario questions; most want to see if you can critically think, use resources, and handle difficult situations.

Good luck!

Some questions I was asked......

Tell me about a time you inspired a co-worker or a classmate on the floor.

Tell me about a time you had to handle a difficult patient.

Tell me about a time you can to deal with conflicting needs.

Tell me about a time you implemented something at work or clinicals.

Why do you want to work for us?

Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a patient.

Tell me your greatest strengths and weaknesses.
