I live in a major metro area in FL, got my LPN license in Oct and still don't have a job. I'm not applying at hospitals as they don't hire LPNs. I've put out lots of resumes and done online applications. Even the agencies here aren't hiring new grad LPNs. Fortunately for me, there are 2 LPN supervisors that sit beside me in my statistics class, they're going to interview me when an opening comes up at their LTC.
Indeed, this is an odd time for nurses who are just starting out. You'd think there would be a plethora of jobs for us, but that isn't the case in most areas. However, this is the time for you to really focus on where you want to start out. I made a poor decision by just accepting the first job that decided to respond to my resume. That was definitely not the right place for me. Luckily, I found a better job since I was much more patient this time around and really thought about where I want my first nursing experience to be. I do believe that everything happens for a reason and if it's meant for you to get it, you'll get it. We all just have to be patient.
I really hope that you will find the career of your dreams in time and best of luck to you. I know a lot of us are just sitting on the sandy shores right now, but don't worry, the tide will come back soon enough. :)

So I graduated in October with my LPN. I have probably sent out close to 30 resumes and filled out about 10-15 applications and have not heard a peep. I even have my school's career service center joining in the job hunt. I got into this field to help people but I have no people to help.
Where is this nurse shortage that people are talking about. OH! By the way I live in Portland, Oregon.
