First of all - we're not in the "medical" field - the only people who practice medicine are physicians. We are in the "nursing" or "healthcare" field . I assume you are a nurse? I couldn't tell, since you don't refer to yourself as one. Best advice for your first job is to be humble and receptive. Value feedback from others because it's really a 'gift' that you can choose to use or not. Work hard. Keep notes or a journal of your experiences. Looking back at them will help you gain perspective on how much you actually have learned.
My first job (back when the Earth's crust was still cooling) as a brand new grad was in Neuro-Trauma ICU in a tax-supported teaching hospital. I LOVED it. Wise and wonderful manager, supportive co-workers. Stayed there for 2 years, until my husband was transferred to another city.
