While you are still applying to nursing jobs, if your bills/loans are looming over you, try to find other ways to make money - waitress, babysit, other jobs.
Actually, I have decided to walk away from everything and give up.

If you are willing to just walk away this wasn't the career for you.
Otherwise, go back and get your BSN. The loans will go back into deferment. There are a ton of online programs that you can do while working any job you can find.

I am also in the DFW area.
Are you willing to work somewhere other than a major acute care hospital? Everybody and their mother wants to work at major hospitals, but many settings outside the hospital are willing to take chances on hiring new grads. Nursing homes, hospices, clinics, home health, private duty agencies, psychiatric facilities, and specialty rehab hospitals all hire new nurses in the DFW area. You simply need to be persistent and walk in during business hours to apply in person.
The DFW area has been flooded with way too many new nurses for the past three years. Without experience, getting into a major hospital is an ultra competitive process.
I am assuming you have a job and have a way to pay your rent and are not starving and on the point of living in a box on the side of a road!
I would love to work outside the corporate hospital, I can't find anything there either
I am just a good a nurse as a BSN, I chose not to go that route because I didn't want to place my self further into debt, I should not have to get my BSN I have taken and passed the same boards as your precious BSN's. I am ready to go and sit on the corner of the medical district with a sign that pleads my case.
and I am out of student loan money, it is not a bottomless well. at this point I don't care the loans can go into default, this is what we get with Large corporate hospitals like HCA.
can you send me the name to my e-mail please, [email protected]. literally I have look everywhere and in a few weeks I am out of money and time, I love the area and don't want to leave I have applied as far away ad Decatur and the Sherman/Dennison area, HCA just tosses my resume in the trash. If anyone can help with my resume that would be awesome.
