New girl in town

Hello everyone I just joind allnureses several days ago, and super excited that nurses have a place to more or less vent, share information and suggestions, love it. Anyways, I have a question. After 4 years of nursing I would like to do travel nursing. I recenlty applied with Fastaff and is wondering if there are any current members of the site that is with Fastaff and is it a good agency to work it. Also I would love advice from any other experienced travelers. All opinons and/or sugesstions are greatly appreciated! Thanks

I'm not a traveler, but I wonder if you would get more responses from the agency section forum?

Yes the travel nurse forum would be the best bet. There is an abundance of information there. Click "Specialty" on top of the page or search travel nursing in the right corner box.

welcome to the forum it is awesome. I am currently on my 2nd travel assignment in San Antonio TX and loving it. This website is useful and people generally respond back pretty quick. When do you plan on travel nursing? It is the bomb! I was sooo nervous at first but you meet so many neat people. The hospital that I am at has a ton of travellers and in orientation you meet alot of people. The people that I meet in orientation we hang out alot. Keep us posted on your progress and good luck!!!! It is so exciting to see how different hospitals have different protocals. You will get a ton of experience. For instance my specialty is adult ICU and I have always wanted to work ER as well, so this hospital lets me work in the ER!!!! If you need help finding a good company feel free to pm.

Thanks everybody for all ur respones, they were really helpful

Welcome, you will find alot of informative information here. I am assuming that you were born in 82 by the way that you said that you are on your fourth year of nursing. As I was born in July of 82, and I am on my fourth year of nursing! :) Welcome and I hope you enjoy yourself. I just started traveling in August.
