New VN graduate as of August 2005 and licensed as of September. However, I'm anxious to get prepared to become an RN...but through online courses. Please give me some tips or suggestions how anyone began to "save" and pay for the Excelsior College program. Thanks!

I just completed EC. I used Visa for my financial aid. it allowed me to get it done in a timely way. It must be paid back of course, but that's ok, I got a very healthy pay raise to help cover that:)

EC also has the Pay-Your-Way Plan, where you can make installments. I would check with your employer to see if they offer any scholarships or tuition reimbursement. That was a huge help to me. Some people take out personal loans, some use their tax returns, etc.
