New Format Pass Rates

https://www.ncsbn.org/Table_of_Pass_Rates_2013.pdf

Was surprised

83%, lowest passing rate for new grads (ie people who took their test in the spring/summer) in a LONG time.

I just went all the way back to the 90s and the passing rate rarely dipped below the 80s.

Yeah the pass rates in oct/nov/december can get lower but presumably that has to do with people waiting months to take it and or the small sample size (MUCH less people take it this time)

Eitherway this is by far the lowest passing rate for new grads in a LONG LONG time.

Seems like a LOT more people failed since the format change then were supposed to, apparently they made it quite a bit harder than they were supposed to.

Definitely sucks

I actually just looked through

And the pass rate for NEW graduates taking the test soon as they graduated, for the first time ever (ie not people who waited till october/decemeber to take it for the first time) was the lowest EVER in the history of the test

going back to the 1980s
