I am working on a new employee orientation checklist for our RN's in the ED. The one we have now is overwhelming and is 10 pages long. We are a Level III, 9 bed ED and would love to hear from anyone that would like to share, so we don't have to reinvent the "wheel".

Thanks

I am totally drawing a blank here. I'll try to find my old notebook and see what I find.

We do have a seek-n-find list of things. Our dept supply guy put it together and new hires have to go find all the items listed and write down where each item is found. We don't have to find every little thing in the department but we do have a lot listed.

We have about 5 different stock rooms and we have to search for stuff in there. There are also things that are found in only the trauma rooms or some things that are found in the Pyxis med rooms, etc. It is actually pretty useful because there are so many items (especially trauma equipment and supplies) and it is important to know where a lot of supplies are kept.
