Hi all...
I am currently researching some information that may or may not be erroneous.
Here in the US, there some speculation that a new drug is being tested and possibly approved in the UK that breaks up cholesterol, or existing clots in arteries.
Just wondered if any of you have heard of this or worked with it?
Thanks so much for your kind attention...

I don't know if you are talking about statins.
There was some media attention on studies in ths range of drugs. It was said that as well as lowering cholesterol in large doses they found that it reduces the build-up of blockages in the arteries.
I thought the studies came from america though, or am I remembering wrong?

No, you are right. We have been using those types of medication to help lower cholesterol.
But, there's apparently another medication that actually disolves the plaque. Nothing like Heparin.
I appreciate your response, chapmajc.
