Hey everyone,
I am moving from Arizona to Dallas in the beginning of April. I am planning on going to Brookhaven College and I was wondering what are the hospitals around that area (Farmers Branch, Carrollton). I am interested into looking into volunteer opportunities that the hospitals around there have while I am working through my pre-reqs for school.
Here in Arizona there are hospitals that have volunteers cuddle with babies, work along side RNs, etc. Does anyone know if this is available in hospitals in Dallas? I am interested in working directly with patients/nurses and not volunteering in the gift shops, etc.
Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't know what their volunteer program is like but you should def check into Methodist Hospital. Any volunteer after 6 months, is eligible for their in house ADN program free. This is El Centro connected which is part of the dallas community college program like Brookhaven.
Of course, I don't know how long their waiting list is but if you have all those pre-reqs to do anyway---
Might be worth checking out. Good luck with your plans.
