Published

Hello All, Does anyone know about New Community develpoment center LPN program. in Newark NJ. I heard about it from an RN but she doesnt have much information. Please share, anything would be helpful.......:(

Hi

I went to that school earlier this year, but drop out because I found out after I spent my $500.00 I could not get any aid. You will have to pay the $500.00 to start no matter want then you will find out if you would get aid after you fill out all your paper work, but the teacher is GREAT and most student complete the LPN course.....The LPN course is 5 days a week for one year. The cost is $13,000.00 which is not bad you will also need to buy their books and uniforms. I didn't want to take out a loan becasue they only had I kind of loan the interest rate was very high ,but I wish I had stayed. All the classes were FULL also having a computer is will be a plus for your home work.....I say go for it the graduation rate is about 98% at least that want they told. The school is not fancy, but like I said most of the student complete the course and you can take the the test for your licensed over and over to you pass. Hope I gave you enough info.

Wow....but since u got in , Can't u reenter again? Also Damn did u say 5 days damn...I work 730 to 330....so u saying its 5 to 7 Mon thru Friday?

i checked the board of nursing for you to see if this is an approved program and it is. i pasted the info above.

i did not go to that school but can't you go to a less expensive school? i went to middlesex vocational and technical school in piscataway, nj and it cost me less than 4k.

Yes........5 days a week, but I was never bored Ms Boddie is a GREAT tearch if you listen to want she's teaching you you will do good, but keep in mind I was only there for 6 six weeks and yes all I need to do is re-apply. I read there are cheaper schools like Middlesex, but I also read you can't transfer your credit from LPN to RN program I'm not sure if that fact, but I did read it on this site.Keep in mind you my good aid a the cost drops...................GOOD LUCK :nurse:

Great Info...Thanks everyone!

Before starting any program make sure they are accredited and check too see if they have credits that will transfer into an RN program after graduation. The county vocational schools are usually much less expensive, where I work the LPN program is 5750 for in county and 7750 for out of county for the whole program. Good Luck.
