I've been a nurse for 6 years on stepdown. I just started a ccu job, think i will really enjoy it,any advice for this newbie?

This post is from a while back so you may be well into orientation...perhaps even off of it by now. Sounds like you already have a solid background in step down and your transition shouldn't be too bad :)
I would tune up your ACLS, rhythms, as well as basics of 12 leads. I would also familiarize yourself with some of the gtts that are used in an ICU but you may not see in the stepdown units.
Be sure to ask lots of questions... and best of luck...
