New to Case Mgmt in Nursing Home setting

I entered into long term geriatric care 3 months ago and had the opportunity to move to a Case Mgmt position. I don't know anything about it and the person who is training me isn't exactly helpful. Any tips from current Case Managers out there? I will be going to a MDS class but not until after the first of the year. Thanks!

clearly this isnt the most active forum...unfortunately, i have no experience in ltc, so i can't help you much. what exactly is it that you are looking for? maybe if it is something not specific to ltc i could help (?) or maybe you will get more responses by being a bit more specific?
