Starting point would be deciding on which province you plan on living and working and seeing the requirements for a IEN on the College of RN's website for the province. Once you have met the requirements the college they will give you eligibility to sit NCLEX. Psychiatric nurse qualification is only accepted by a handful of provinces on the west side of Canada and all you need to do is do a google search for it and websites will show.
Be aware it is not cheap to register with either colleges so you need to decide whether to apply to one or the other or both
Also, if you haven't, I suggest you first check out the NNAS website
You need to register there first :)
NNAS is just a starting point and is a new thing. You still have to choose a province that NNAS will send relevant documents to and you also need to submit application form to the provincial college
So, documents will be sent to NNAS but the application form will be sent to the provincial college?
Yes, NNAS is very new. I believe its has only been a month when it started. Silverdragon, do you know anyone who has applied NNAS already?

No I do not know anyone going through this process and no one has posted yet on here about their experience

- Set up an online account with National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS) at NNAS / SNEI. This link will only become active on August 12th , 2014 at 1pm Eastern Standard Time .
- Complete the online application.
- Pay the required fee.
- Follow the instructions about which documents to submit for verification.
- Once your file is complete, NNAS will evaluate it and provide you with online access to an Advisory Report, which contains the results of the evaluation. NNAS will also send a copy of this report to the relevant regulatory body.
- You can now apply directly to the regulatory body of your choice and pay their application fee. You will be able to do this from your NNAS online account.

Thank you Silverdragon. I hope someone posts about it soon. It would be great to hear from anyone who has undergone the process. But, as it is sill very new, I don't think a lot of people have applied yet.

Hi
I Completed BSN and MSN in psychiatric nursing from India. I have four year experience in psychiatric nursing and 1 year experience in general nursing. I am planning to apply for Canadian Nursing Registration next month. How can I register for exam and how to get the eligibility assessment done? Which web site should I search? I heard that the pattern of CRNE has changed from September 2014. Also, Can I register as a psychiatric nurse and RN at a time?
I cleared IELTS academic with 7.5 score(min 7 for all)
