Hello,
Just wondering, do you all think it's necessary to read every chapter or is skimming enough? I am thinking of doing down with the lecture notes and just adding whatever is left out that seems most important from the book. Good idea?

I am also in an ABSN program. I skim the chapters, but I will read in detail any concepts from the powerpoints that are difficult to grasp. I also do the online quizzes that are associated with each chapter. It's helpful if you can find someone in the cohort above you that can guide you whether certain professors test more on the ppt. or the readings. Good luck!

I'm bad - I don't do any of the readings unless I'm struggling to understand a concept from class. I do all of the workbook questions, and skim through the diagrams and chapter review questions before tests though.
Great advice, thanks! ABS is tough! !

I use the PPTs as a guide to read the chapters bc not everything will be covered in the chapter. This seems to really help. I also recommend using your ATI book if you find yourself running low on time!
Pink, that is exactly what I was thinking of doing! Makes me feel better to know you had three same idea and its working for you!
Epi, ABSN mean accelerated, it's a nursing program for those who have a ba chelors degree in anothet field so it is a condensed, fast paced program. I start Monday and will graduate May of next year! ! How long are your programs?
