Nevada State College 2015 - Are you as excited as I am? My 1st choice is regular F/t and I apply for the spring cohort this September, after my TEAS. Are you f/t, p/t, bridge or accelerated track?... Why did you choose your track & why at NSC? What are you most looking forward to in our NSC BSN program? Have you toured our UMC simulation lab yet?

Part time. It's only 6 months longer.
Do you know what the minimum points they are looking for? I just took my teas and got a 61. My gpa is 3.7 all classes completed.
Im sorry but I dont know off hand but you can find it in nursing application requirements at NSC.edu website. I do know that most accepted get in the higher 70's-lower 80's on their TEAS. But your GPA is good enough for f/t p/t track which is usually more competitive than accelerated track. I hope that helps? And good luck!
By the way, p/t includes year round summer classes too (regular f/t gets summers off).

Part-time! Slow and steady wins the race!! Plus from what I hear the part-time tack will require about 40hours week study/homework (feels like full-time)
I'm hoping to get in the spring 2015 class. 3.82 and teas score 82.7. I know few other buddies are applying and they have similar gpa and teas as well.. 16 spots, sounds like you should have a great chance!

I transferred to NSC Spring of 2014 and took the rest of the pre-requisites needed here in NSC. I applied for the fall 2014, but I was only 7th on the alternative list. So, I retook some classes this summer that boosted my GPA much higher, so hopefully I get into the Spring 2015 Cohort. My first choice is full time because I rather have summers off, and get it done in four semesters rather than seven semesters. I'm looking forward into getting in the program because I had tried to get in the BSN program for a couple years now in California. I really like NSC because the student/teacher ration is low, and most of the staff and instructors here really care about the success of their student.
Did anyone attend the application workshop today @ DA200? How about tomorrow?
Bump! Is anyone else applying for Spring 2015?
I took teas and applied just this past week & saw tons of applicants this term probably because of the cancelled accelerated program spots. Yes, there were allot of applicants dropping off applications this week. Competition will be stiff but doable.
I would have liked to go P/t except that my scholarship requires me to be F/t God will make a way for me to succeed the 1st semester, He can do all things

Anyone know the potential date we'll receive letters from Nevada State College? I know it's past the initial 4 week wait period.
I have not got a letter yet, but a counselor said that it might take a little longer because there is a new dean. Good luck, and let us know when you get yours.
We should know by Halloween, it takes 4-6 weeks (from September 15th)
