I have graduated from a nursing school last April 2008. Ive worked in a tertiary hospital a year after and resigned last March 2013. My fiance who's based in Las Vegas , Nevada and I are planning to get married within this year in the USA. Im just concerned about the requirements needed for licensure exam of Nevada. Based on what I've read with the other posts they would require the cgfns and toefl exam. I havent taken any of those exams yet. Im getting confused on what to do. I already took the nclex before for state of vermont but failed because i wasnt prepared ehen i took it. I took it for the fact that it was nesr its expiry. So is there anybody there who could enlighten me or help me with this dilemma?

hello, you can check the nevada state BON site all you need to know is there. here's what i can share, if youre a foreign graduate you need TOEFL/IELTS and also CGFNS, thats what i am sure about. I think they also need SSN but please check. i also advise you take IELTS and CGFNS (if youre still at your foreign country) while waiting for your fiance visa but if you have arrived in the US you can also take IELTS/TOEFL there but your CGFNS you need relatives to help you apply because it will be needed to be forwarded by your school

For Nevada it is stated here what you need. Definitely start CGFNS CES report now before you leave the Philippines

Yeah I think I should just do that and prepare myself. But do you have any idea which is easier to take IELTS or TOEFL? Coz based on what friends told me, writing in IELTS was the most difficult one. And it has 2 categories either General or Academic. And do they have the same length of validity 2 years? TIA
