NEVADA or CALIFORNIA?!

I am a fresh grad here in the Philippines. Please help me understand about NCLEX? Will my dream of going to the USA be affected by the retrogression and I have heard the california don't release the license unless you have a US SOCIAL SECURITY number? would you help me to whether which can be a better option to work? Whether it is going to be in california or will I prefer to be in Nevada and be transferred in california once I get my license?

I'm not an immigrant, nor petitioned to go to the States but i am a Filipino wishing to work there.

The NCLEX exam is only one step in the licensing process. Suggest that you spend some time reading the stickies on the International Forun, especially the one called the Primer.

There is a retrogression in place for the entire US. Until you get thru the I-140, the retrogression does not kick in for you. But be aware that you must have passed the NCLEX-RN before you can even apply for a job anywhere. And you must have an employer to start the process for you for immigration.

Thanks a lot mam suzanne! How about this U.S. social security number that is needed in California before my license can be released? I heard that I should get one before 3 years after passing the NCLEX? How could I obtain one if I am in the Philippines and If I apply in Nevada, will I be needing a U.S. social security number before getting my license?
