So lately I've seen that a lot of the LPNs in my area landed jobs from former employers. How can I land a medical field job without a lot of medical experience. I was studying health studies/nursing yrs ago in college but didn't complete my degree. Im hopefully starting a 18 month lpn program in January and looking for like a med Secretary job or something to get me in the field so when I graduate LPN I have something to work with. I have tons of admin experience. And a travel bacjground. Also can you challenge the CNA test after a few months into lpn school ?
Am I in lala land or is this something to look into?
Many states let you challenge the cna exam after taking certain classes and having clinicals. I was eligible to sit for the exam after taking fundamentals and having 1 semester of clinicals.
I think you are on the right path by getting your foot in the door at a job so that you are able to get employment easier once you are a nurse.
