Hi all! I just wanted to ask those of you who used the study guide before taking the net: Was the test harder, easier, or relatively the same as the practice tests in the guide? I'm taking my test tommorow and I think my nerves are starting to get to me. LOL:lol2: :lol2:

I would love to know that same thing! I am taking it on the 28th. If it is the same as the study guide, then I feel pretty confident. If not...well I just don't know!! Good luck though! Where are you trying to get into school? Let me know how you do tomorrow! You will be in my thought!

If you did well on the NET Study Guide, you should do well on the NET.

Good luck to both of you. :)

I took the NET in December. I thought the the math portion was exactly like the study guide. The reading comprehension was much harder on the test than in the study guide. I guess it was the luck of the draw for me.

Pay very careful attention to the tips on reading comprehension. I wished I had. Good luck!

The school gave me a study guide but it only has how to add fractions how to divide fractions etc in it so I went out to Barnes and Noble and I bought Kaplins study guide and also have been practicing on the Internet. I think I've done every math problems about 5 times now, its my weak spot. I take the NET next Friday @ 1pm.

Fun2Care and Calledtonurse...you were spot on! The math was exactly like the study guide, and the reading I agree was a little bit harder. That study guide really helped me though, I passed with great scores.

Congrats!! Good luck to you! :balloons:

Most people needlessly worry about the math portion, when it's the reading portion that tests critical thinking! :)

I took the NET about a month ago and I used the NET study guide by Frost. I had a hard time finding it and I had to order it from the company. Anyway, I thought the test was almost exactly like the study guide. The math section really helped me to "brush up" and the reading part really eased my fears about the test. Without the study guide, I think I would have suffered a great deal of anxiety. So yes, I think it is worth it.

i actually had to take the reading portion twice, before i passed it. The math, which i was more nervous about, was exactly like the studyguide, so fairly easy if you studied it. I thought i would do ok on reading since we have to read all these textbooks:eek: and i have a good gradepoint average, but i ran out of time the first time around. read the tips in studyguide and really concentrate when you do the readingportion. You probably will do great. Good luck

I take my net tomarrow at 2pm. I have the book Study Guide for..The NET, Hobet and the Help test made by educational resourses. I picked it up in the campus library. I have read thru it and been trying to brush up on my math skills. I took the practice tests online and seem to do the worse in math my reading between the lines i tended to very good at as far the practice rounds go. Im still pretty stress My cousin which is in school with me took her a week ago, she was accepted to her nursing program. she didnt do well on the reading but they told her she could take a class while in the nursing program. Then while I was im Micro another girl said she had done poorly on the same reading part as my cousin and they denied her to the program ( I'm wondering if its because she did her pre req at another college and they fact she is 7 months prego which i know that cant do that leagally, but perhaps they think with the added stress she wouldnt be good for their program) All i know is i stress out about everything. Jessica ( my cousins ) first words were Tor calm down u make better grades than I do and I passed it. I am so horible at math unless its working out drug dosages lol. I will continue to work in my practice book and read read read til 2pm tomarrow.

That's the exct same book that I used. Just keep practicing, they ask the EXACT same questions. About the pregnant girl, its hard to tell. She may have done worse in other sections than your cousin did, or maybe a lower GPA, like I said its hard to tell. Don't worry about that, just keep focused on studying and you'll do fine. Good Luck!
