A&P I starts Monday, June 7th for me. My FINAL EXAM is July 6th. YES, July 6th. I will be working my booty off getting this class done in 5 weeks. I am so nervous though. I am 33 years old and I hope I am not the only "old fart":lol2: in the class...LOL

Anyone else taking it in 5 weeks?

I took the class in 6 weeks. If you're like myself, and you haven't been in school for a while it will be a bit overwhelming, but completely doable. I had class 5 days a week for I think around 3.5 hours and then I'd make flash cards and study all day and all week. It is a lot of memorization, but you can do it. And don't be worried. If there is one thing you will notice, is that thanks to the economy there are many people you're age and older who will be in your classes now. I was 27 when I went back, and there were people in my classes who were in their 60's.

THANKS SO MUCH!

I too am 33. I took AP I and II this past fall. Each in 7 weeks. Made A's in both. It is doable, you just have to put the time in.

I just finished A&P and I am 31, married, and have 3 children. There were about 10/80 students in that class that were older than me. Don't worry about the young ones from high school and such, most of them either failed out or dropped out by the middle of the first term. The last term of A&P consisted of mostly students in their 30's, most of us just got accepted into the nursing program too!

A word of advice, the first term was the hardest. Our A&P teacher is really hard core. He is super smart and went more into the physiology of everything than anything else. The people that did the best in the class were the ones that realized they need to give up a lot of time to study. You have to make sacrifices. Good luck!

Thanks! I know it is gonna take alot of studying. I am ready to sacrifice because this is what I want!!!

I'm 28 and going back to school after being out for a year. I'm at wits ends nervous that I'm going to fall flat on my face! = ( I'm taking A&P 2 in 11 weeks so not nearly as quick as your class.
