I started a job with the state about 8 months ago probation is one year. I think the job is great, Mon-Fri, 8-5 (8am is flexible if we have to be in the office),ample amount of training, off days whenever requested, holidays off limited on call, etc.. My family is 3 hours away. The reason I moved to the city is because of my ex BF and the job. Now that I'm no longing with my ex I'm feeling very lonely in this city. I went to college in the city but since all my old college friends move to a bigger city so I'm basically here alone. However my same job with the same salary has open in a city closer to home and friends but the cost of living is higher. I am nervous because I have gotten settle in this city. I live very cheap in my current city less then $500 a month for all bills (rent, cable, internet, electric) but in the bigger city idk. I also go to school online. What are y'alls thoughts?

How close is closer to home?

I think you need to investigate the cost of living in the new town
