Nervous about NCLEX results

I am extremely nervous about my nclex results... I took my exam in California on 3/12/2005 and my test stopped at the minimum of 85 questions... I studied my behind off using the Saunders and Mosby's books and cd-roms... I am so nervous... does anyone know when you should hear something in the mail from the boards... Also... is there alot of people that have failed at the minimum?? Please any thing would help right now!!

I don't know much about the new nclex tests but I do know pretty much about people. You are worrying about something you can not change! You will make yourself very old very quickly!

From what I do understand about the new method (I took my boards in 1977, with pencil and paper!) for it to stop at 85 you either did very well or exceptionally bad.

To stop at 85 would mean that you could not have possibly gotten enough correct if you got every question offered to you. That's not likely is it? Only you kow if you learned anything at school. You passed and were permitted to sit for boards, so my guess is, you did well enough not to need more questions.

Again, this is just my understanding of the new way it's done so, all I can really say for sure is, quit worrying, you can't change it now anyway!

I bet you passed. I got to 85 and mine shut off also, and I passed. (isn't that the minimum?). A couple of my friends said the same thing, "you will leave there thinking you failed, but you didn't". Hope you find out soon!

I will post it as soon as I know!! Let me tell you, I have been standing at the mailbox everyday tapping my foot at the mailman!! Everytime I think about getting the results my tummy does a little flip! Oh well, Que Sera sera! I have heard quite a few people say that it is around 10 days out here in CA. and thats tomorrow!! :) so I will let you know!

see message related to nclex under thread "265 questions my worst nightmare" i posted there how to find out results as little as 2-3 days for free.and by the way you more than likely passed if you only had 85 question so......CONGRATULATIONS AND WELCOME TO THE CAREER FIELD OF NURSING. :balloons:

Just wanted to let everyone know that I did it... I graduated in June of 2004 and just took my test March 12th and I passed!!! Thanks for all of the encouraging words!!

Congrats :) I had the same thing happen to me and I was a wreck! I graduated in May 2004 and finally got to take my test March 4th. Whew :nurse:
