Nervous about applying to Daytona State College Nursing Program

Hi Halcyon_Mercedes,

I am going to try to apply for spring of 2019. I originally started this post and was shooting for the Fall of 2018 but had a lot going on this summer and the pressure of taking the TEAS got the best of me. Still haven't taken the TEAS. I'm aiming for Sept 26th. I know it's cutting it close but I'm still not confident I'll do well and get in because my gpa is very low 3.14. What about you?

Hi, I currently have a 3.04, hoping to get in spring 2019 as well. I believe you will will get in. They normally accept applicants from category 1&2, so you should be fine. I've taken my teas. & I do have like a lot of books & notes. I could let you look through them if you'd like. I am all for helping the next person to move forward, I just know how it was when I took my teas. I've taken it more than once.

I was also going to apply for Fall 2018 but I kept putting off taking the TEAS out of fear of failing. I plan on taking it this month so that I can hopefully get accepted into the Spring 2019 class. I have all my pre-reqs done and a 3.1 or 3.2 GPA.

You should be fine, the teas isn't that bad.

Thank you for the words of encouragement and the offer with books and notes. I have plenty of those, just overwhelmed with everything smh lol. I take the TEAS next Wed the 26th. I know, cutting it very close. I feel so under prepared. I'm sure you will get in too. What was your TEAS overall score? Reading and Math Stats?

Great TEAS score! I didn't apply for the Aug 2018 because I still felt insecure about taking the TEAS. I decided to go for Spring 2019, still haven't taken the TEAS smh lol. I am very nervous and still overwhelmed. I take it next week. I'm praying God/Universe is on my side:)

My teas overall: 69, math-87, reading-79.

But, Daytona don't select applicants based on scores, it's a pass or fail. The gpa, all requires courses taken, are looked at first. And the only time teas scores matter, is if there's 2 ppl with the same gpa & classes completed.
