Nervous about applying to Daytona State College Nursing Program

Published

Hi Everyone,

I noticed there were no posts for anyone applying to Daytona State College Nursing Program this year (fall 2018). I am stressed because I have to take the TEAS 6 and I've never taken it before. I wish DSC required the HESI because my overall score is 88%. The application deadline is May 31st. I have a 3.03 GPA, so I'm very nervous about the TEAS 6. I'm aiming for the LPN to RN Transitions program. I heard it is very competitive. Anyone out there who is currently in the Transitions program or applying for fall 2018? Any advice on the TEAS 6? Good luck to everyone who will be applying next month. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

We moved your thread to the Schools/Colleges forum for the best response. Good luck.

Hi,

Am I missing something?? No comments. I haven't posted anything out the ordinary that others have posted about the TEAS Test at Daytona State College in the past. This is crazy!

I feel you girl! I've made like 3 post and I've gotten a few responses. I'm also considering the as rn generic track for Dsc.

I applied on may 1st for the 2018 fall RN. daytime program! Now just the waiting game! 3.8 GPA and 77% overall TEAS(80 READING, 98 MATH) Hoping that I get accepted and you do as well! And also, I research anything and everything..so I knew the ins and outs of the TEAS..but I noticed when filling out the paperwork with the advisor it only had TEAS 4 and 5 to select from..so I asked which TEAS I took and he told me TEAS 5! I thought I was taking TEAS 6...and studied from that manual. It was super easy..but people kept going in and out with the proctor talking...which was very distracting.

hi! I just applied on May 4th for the traditional RN track. GPA is 3.5 and I got an 82% on the teas (don't remember the math and reading breakdown, but I know they were in the 90s and 80s). I hate the waiting game now! Best of luck to you all :)

Hey everyone, I'm thinking about applying to the transition program. All pre-reqs are completed but not all co-reqs. Have all of you completed the co-reqs? My gpa is a 3.68 and I scored pretty decent on the teas. Not sure if I should wait until all co-reqs are completed.

What co-reqs? How many outstanding classes do you have left to take?

Micro is the only co-req that I have left to complete.

I say apply! It wouldn't hurt

Micro is the only co-req that I have left to complete.

Thank you for your response....sorry for the delay. I started to give up on this site. Have you taken the TEAS yet?
