I am a new grad and am planning on moving across the country in about 6 months. I'm wondering what a new grad can do job wise for only six months. I would rather not lie to an employer but right now I'm thinking that's the only thing to do. Somebody told me I could possibly PRN somewhere but I didn't think hospitals hired new grads to PRN. The only other thing I can think of would be to get a serving job somewhere for the six months... Will that make hospitals where I'm going to move not want to hire me? Please help, I'm in desperate need for some advice here! Thank you.

Although it isn't ideal I would try to get a nursing job, without telling them and just see what happens. Imvho if people that are pregnant don't feel obligated to mention it upfront I don't think you need to either. Six months can be a long time and you might not end up leaving where you are especially if you have a job you love. I do think getting a server job although more considerate of the hospitals would hurt you in the end. After six months in most areas you really should have the hang of things. Get what experience you can and good luck.
