Hi Everyone,
Need some advice and suggestions, I have been on the waiting list for the RN program for almost 3 years and last month I got a call from the college telling me that I was #86 on the list and I wouldn't make it in this class but maybe the next one, well then I got a call yesterday that for one reasons or another that some people were not able to start on September 18th and that I could have a seat in the class, well at first I was so happy the day finally came and I would be a RN, I am currently a LVN working at a local hospital on the maternity floor, but then she told me I have until tomorrow by 12noon to make up my mind or they will give my seat to the next person. I really want to do this, but I am a single mom of 3 children and I would have to go part-time and not sure if I could make it finacially. Plus I will be given my job less than a week notice and the schedule is already made thru the end of October. I would hate to loos my job all together. Someone told me that there are people who will sponser nurses trying to go back to school? Does anyone now about sponsorship? And what do you think I should do? When a finished LVN and was scared to take the boards everyone on allnurses helped me thru the stress and gave me helpful advice, so I'm back for some more advice. Thanks Again Everyone,
Karen
