Need RN refresher class in/near NYC

Published

Fellow RNs--Please suggest RN refresher classes in or near NYC. I'm planning to move to NYC from Wisconsin in 3-6 months and hope to return to nursing after not practicing for more than 10 years. I am 54 yrs. old and worked as a psychiatric RN for eight years. However, I don't have med.-surg. experience so feel I need through retraining. A free or low-cost class would be best sinc money's tight. I'm willing to do a work exchange or work commitment to get my needed training. Suggestions about training, housing and jobs are all welcome. Although I'm currently married, it's very likely my husband won't move with me and this will be a solo act permanently). Thanks for any suggestions you can offer me.
