Hello, I was accepted to an lpn program for this fall and I ordered my many books I will need. I decided to order online thru a couple different sites to save money and when I received them in the mail two of the books did not have the cd's in the back. I ordered all new books so there would be no problems, then this.

My question is if you are currently in school or when you went to school did you use them? Are they real important, I am not sure what I should do? I went back on Amazon, which is where these two came from and it does not specify the cd on the site. Sorry if this sounds like a silly question. Thanks for any input.

If the listing says "NEW" then I would contact Amazon. If it says " Like new" then I doubt that there is anything you can do.

Sorry I can't answer your question about using the extras, you could always sell the ones that you got and re-buy new ones.

Some CDs are very helpful and are full of animations, case studies, and practice questions. If you're a visual learner, the CDs can be quite useful and help you to understand the text better. Some are rather worthless. It's hard to know ahead of time. Some instructors require students to get the CDs because of the materials used. Some don't.

Jessicas85 is right. If you paid for new books rather than "like new" books, you should be able to return them for a refund.

Maybe you could ask someone at your program, like the administrative assistant or the instructor, if you will need the CDs. Or maybe you could borrow them from someone who has already been through the program and kept his/her books.

Thanks for the quick responses. I appreciate it. It does say "new" on amazon for both books. I already called my school and they only said that the books on the list are the ones they want me to have and it says the name of the book/cd so I was concerned but she said the cds are helpful so I didn't get the impression from her that they were mandatory for learning. Thanks again.
