Need NP advice for friend who failed out of nursing school and attended another one graduating with a 4.0.

Nursing Students NP Students

My friend wasn't sure how everyone would respond to this post. I am posting this for him. He withdrew from an accelerated program with good standing. He then attended another nursing school, failed out of that one. Another accredited program accepted him. He graduated with a 4.0 GPA. He wants to become an NP. Any advice.

He currently has between a 3.2 to 3.3 GPA total with his last major and coursework.

I would have no idea how to evaluate how your friend's academic path will impact his ability to get into a NP school. I suppose the only real way to get the answer is for him to contact the admissions people from some schools of interest and speak to someone familiar with the specific program.

A concern of mine would be that if your friend can't post on-line for fear of how some strangers would react, he may have trouble with feedback in the future.

Just apply to NP school. What's the big deal?

My first reaction. If he is going to be this hesitant, how is he going to muster the gumption to make a diagnosis and develop a plan of treatment for a patient? He needs to evaluate whether or not he has the proactive personality to become a good NP.
