?Need Maternity Training for U.S

Hi,
This Forum has been very useful. I would like to know anyone who applied to U.S without any maternity training. Is anyone has been asked to do further training in Maternity after their CES or CVS evaluation?

have answered your question on another website, try doing a search in the international forum as this has been asked before. Unfortunately UK training now does not cover the requirements needed by the US. and the only real way to find out is to apply for CES with CGFNS

Hi,

Good luck in your process. I was trained in India in 1996. Now I am working in the U.k. Because I am a male I didn't have maternity training. But I had training in all other areas. I am planning to go to U.S. for few years, If Maternity is not a problem.

I think you will have to make the hours up, but unfortunately there isn't a course except doing midwifery course that in the UK will make them hours. I wish you the best on your journey :)
