Hi Everyone, I don't really feel like I should be in this chat room but I just have a quick question and I will leave all of you alone :) I am wanting to start nursing school (to be an RN) in the fall but I don't know whether to get my ASN or BSN. I already have my bachelors in social work, sooo, if any one could give me some feedback I would very much appreciate it! Have a great day :)

Since you already have a bachelor's degree in social work, I say go the ADN route.

Go for the ADN, when complete, you can market yourself as a Bachelor Degreed ADN nurse. This will be good. Get ready to study like you never have. Prepare your family for getting along without you for some time.........good luck......you can do it!

If you wanted to get some real cool bragging rights you could go the doctoral route. The RN they call Dr. Its the same as an RN program but you do a couple of masters courses that I thought were easier than many of my BSN courses. You do a few more clinical hours. http://freenet.uchsc.edu/son/acad/
My school...lol
