To tell you the truth I had no clue that Tarleton State had an LVN-BSN program. I know they do have an RN-BSN. It's 3 semesters long. There are many many prerequisites, probably about 2-3 years worth...depending on what you've already taken. If you go to their website, you should be able to get a look at their requirements http://www.tarleton.edu/~nursing/
Good luck!
I have been accepted into the LVN to BSN program at Tarleton State for Fall 05. I woul dbe happy to answer any questions for you. I am still learning and will attend my orientation session 7/15, then I will know the majority of the info. But Im sure I can give you a good idea of what you need. just let me know.
Does anyone have info or advice about this school? Or can anyone give me some info or rec's for other Texas LVN-BSN programs? Thanks!

Congrats to you! I will defininetly be asking you some questions. Right now I am still in VN school, I graduate in March, but I am trying to plan ahead because I want to get started towards my BSN ASAP - probably Fall 06'. I already have some nursing prereq's like A&P I and II, Micro, Chem, Eng, Pysch, G & D... I know it's going to take several years, but that's ok. My goal is to at least start the nursing school by 08' or 09'....
There are 64 hours of pre classes. Now some of these you can take with your nursing classes. Where are you going to LVN school? LVN's are admitted to the program each fall. So you have enough time to complete the rest of your preclasses. You can go to the website and it tell you everything you need to know. The only difference I seen in the website and the info they sent me
was online it showed 4 long semesters and with the info I got I have to take one summer session for a nursing elective. Where do you live, cause I need to carpool. :rotfl:
