Hi,
I am an LPN and was enrolled in ISU LPN-BSN progam. I completed all of my prerequisites and stumbled upon Excelsior. I went ahead and enrolled because I saw that I only have to take 7 classes to get my RN as opposed to the two years at ISU (I was offered 2 years because I have an AS degree).
Anyway-----
I enrolled 2 weeks ago but I have not taken my first exam as of yet. I am waiting for them to send me the content guide. Then I will purchase my book to study. I am hopeful because I did my LPN online. This program seems to be a little more self guided. I would like to hear from someone that has already moved up in the program. I will keep you posted as I get more info.
Hi everyone!!!So iam just trying to get some information. I live in Ca as of now but my husband just recieved PCS orders to Alaska next year. I was wondering if i can do the excelsior lpn-rn there? are there any of those cpne sites in alaska? also i was wondering if i we were to go back to Ca would i be able to be a Rn here ( if i pass everything of course)? I was looking at the schools in alaska and they only seem to have 1 nursing program there and only let in 8 lpns' a year:angryfire. This or isu would be my only resource. Any info would be greatly appreciated ( isu info too please)
thanks n advance!!!!
There are no CPNE sites in Alaska -- they are in NY, GA, TX, WI, OH, and PA (off the top of my head, before coffee, may have missed a state). Unfortunately you would not be able to work in California as an EC grad. However, I don't believe Alaska has any problems with EC.
