60 year old female, 5 ft 2in 180 pounds with BMI 33. Newly diagnosed diabetic type 2 with a superficial wound on her left great toe that has not healed for the last month. Last lab A1C 9.2% and FPG 190mg/dl. She has had fatigue, nocturia, and polydipsia. She has a history of HTN,post-menopausal. Current medication:Tenormin 50mg po daily, HCTZ 25mg po daily, KCL 20mq po daily, Calcium 1000mgpo daily, Multi-vitamin 1 tab po daily, New medication Actos 30 mg po daily.
