Need help understanding what happens to lungs in cardiogenic shock?

I am trying to understand what happens to the lungs during cardiogenic shock?

I understand that the lungs become filled with fluid, but after that I am a bit fuzzy.

I get it that the person will have trouble breathing, but what exactly is the fluid in the lungs doing that causes the person to have trouble breathing.

I would look it up on youtube, but I don't know what to look up.

You should look it up in your med/surg text or your physiology / pathophysiology textbook. YouTube is not the solution to every knowledge deficit.

If I said, in CHF/shock the heart isn't pumping blood forward to the aorta and therefore it backs up in the lungs, making the lungs heavy and wet (edematous), increasing the distance between the capillary bed and the alveolar space and filling some/many alveoli with fluid, would that help you see why there would be a problem?
