need help on where to take exam? ny or ca?

hello, i'm currently in lpn school and i graduate in june. but i am moving to california a fews after graduation. i dont know whether i should take the exam in california or just stay in ny and take it here. which would be a better choice? since i will be staying in california for at least 2-3 years or more.

anybody have any experience at all with moving and changing licenses?

I guess it depends on how quick you want to move to Ca after graduation. You can still apply for NY and sit the exam in Ca as you do not have to live in state to sit exam and then endorse your license to Ca once you have results. Or just apply to Ca instead on NY and sit the exam and start work
