I graduated nursing school in sept, Ihave goals in going back to school for possibly nurse anestitist or flight nurse. I got called by a community hospital for a stepdown position and I said yes. For four months I have been searching for a job and finally this job came up. I have had a cpl interviews but got nothing. Then three days later a city hospital called me to interview for a trauma/ortho gen. surg unit. I spent time in the military and was around trauma and shadowed in a trauma unit and loved it. Now Im caught in this mix because I already excepted this job for stepdown and dont want to burn any bridges. My interview is tomorrrow for the trauma.
stepdown-good first experience, 10min drive, keep my seniorty because I worked for the hospital system while in school, more money, a friend has been asking me to be his roomate-so place to live, already accepted job (for sure)
Trauma-50min drive, more opportunity, more expereince, will help me get into flight nurse or crna quicker, what I want to do, more money for school, less money for pay, will prbably need to get a place near hospital, sometimes I feel that I do need a change from my area,

Trauma/orth gen surgical sounds like AFTER trauma, not an actual ER/Trauma spot.

Do new interview. You don't have that job yet so don't have to decide this minute. If you get offerred that job too then you have to make a decision. Either way, from reading on this site, consider yourself very lucky to have to make such a decision. Weigh the pros and cons. You'll figure it out.
