Hello nurses....I need your help!
I just started nursing school, and I was wondering if anyone was willing to help me brainstorm....we have to write a 6-8 page paper on any topic pertaining to a current nursing issue. I have a few ideas floating around in my head, but I was wondering if anyone had any new/exciting topics to throw my way. A lot of students in my class are already writing on the nursing shortage and nurse recruitement/retainment, but I'm looking for something somewhat different. Any ideas?? Thanks for your help!!! (we have a lot of freedom in the topic we choose - so anything creative you can think of would be great!).

I recommend you get used to looking at certain websites for info (this one included) as you will probably write several papers before graduation. Try http://www.cdc.gov, or http://www.about.com. There are many of course. Consider pain management, access to care (no $, no insurance), things you hear about on CNN and read in the paper. In fact, look at the CNN.com or MSN.com site to get ideas. Then google for keywords. Good luck.

i don't know.
my sore spot is why don't nurses get the respect they deserve?
there's a huge image problem with nsg and we certainly do not get what we're worth.
much luck to you.

The current issues in nursing are mostly the same as they have always been so you have a little history to back you up!
