Need some help....Moving to Elmira Area

I am moving to the Elmira, NY area and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the hospitals in the area? I have done some research but appreciate the advice and information others may have to offer. I have also researched hospitals in Binghamton and Ithaca which I know would be a commute. But I figure if the hospitals are better in that area I wouldn't mind.

I was also wondering what the starting salary is for hospitals in this area? What places might be good to start looking for apartments. As you can see I am starting from scratch and I don't know very much about the area at all. Please help if you can!! Thank you so much :)

I live in Corning, NY which is about 30 minutes from Elmira. I know there are 2 hospitals in Elmira. St. Joseph's Hospital and The Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Both have web site that you can google search and find. About the starting salary I'm not sure (I'm just a nursing student). I've heard that Arnot is better, but maybe the web sites will be of some help for you. Good luck with everything.
