need help on getting started

I have been trying to get into school for about 2 years. I cannot seem to do it. I cannot find any close schools that offer the program and the one that is only about and 1.5 hrs away I am having trouble with. i keep sending them papers about my financial status and they keep sending back things saying they need something else but this last time i haven't heard anything back from them at all. I need some help on the whole thing. am i doing something wrong or just not looking for the right things? i have been trying to get my financial aid done before i actually register for the school cause i dont want to be accepted then not be able to pay for it. i am fairly sure i can qualify for financial aid seeing as how i am 19 and a single mom of a severely disabled little boy. but i just need help on how to get started. if anyone could give me some advice i would really appreciate it.

Could you go to your local High School or your local library and ask someone there for assistance on how to contact the right people at that college? In what community do you live, sounds far from a bigger town.
