I'm doing a teaching project on Diverticular disease. I was wondering if anyone could help me to where I can find those huge pictures for my poster? I saw them done quite a few in school from I don't know what term. I want to have a huge picture of a colon with diverticular sac protruded and stuff like that. Is it possible to find them anywhere?
There are tons of images of divurticulitis on google images.
An interesting note:
Docs used to tell pts with this disease to avoid nuts and seeds. I recently read that new research shows that nuts and seeds may actually benefit these pts.
Specializes in med/surg, telemetry, IV therapy, mgmt.
I have diverticulosis. I am not likely to be so frivolous. I've seen patients who get bouts of diverticulitis. It's not fun having IVs of Flagyl for a week. I can forego a few small seeds and nuts to avoid that aggravation and having to have yet another reason for a colonoscopy.
