Hi, I want to know what everyone thinks about this, I am really stresssed out. I am now 10 days late for my period. At the time my period was expected I had some pink discharge (very little). I am on the pill but missed some pills last month but took them as soon as I remember like any other time. I took 2 HPT's 3 & 4 days after my missed period. I had a blood test that following monday(6 days late). Everything came back negative. I had a cold the week I was to get my period. I got my normal pms symptoms the week before my missed period (sore breasts) and that subsided before I got my period. The day of the blood test I had some cramping (6&7 days late)and also the day after, still no period. The 8th and 9th day I had white/yellow discharge. What do you think I should do, still no period. I have always been regular on a 28-day schedule.

Thanks for any help. :uhoh3:

How many pills did you miss? Maybe you should repeat your blood pregnancy test and consult with your Doc.

you should have a full pap and pelvic; missing a period may be nothing to worry about, as long as you don't miss more than 3 in one year (that's the rule of thumb), but the colorful lady partsl discharge may be something for your MD to take a closer look at. Good luck!

I missed probably about 3.

I would repeat the blood test and if still negative, have a pap exam if it's been longer than 6 mo to a year. Good luck to you.

Ok, so you missed some pills. Have you been, um, active?

Please, go to the MD instead of having us try to sort through all of that and try to diagnose you.

Good luck!

If you've had taken 3 pregnancy tests, all 3+ days after the first day of your missed period, and they've all come back negative, there's good chance that you're indeed NOT pregnant. I'm at the age where it seems all of my friends are having babies, and although I know it's more than possible, I've yet to see even an out-of-the-box pregnancy test not be accurate.

The only thing that would concern me is that you remember having sore breasts prior to your period start date. This was a normal PMS condition for me as well and several years ago when my period was late I thought "Oh, I'm not pregnant because I had PMS symptoms". Unfortunately that mind set failed me since a lot of the PMS symptoms are also signs of early pregnancy... turned out that I was pregnant.

Have you been stressed out lately? Don't forget that anyone can skip a period with significant stress... you mentioned that you had a cold, maybe that plus the late pills plus some stress threw your cycle for a loop?

Either way, I definitely agree with the other posters that you should get a thorough exam asap. Everything is probably fine (don't get too concerned about the discharge yet--it's good that you're aware of it but don't forget that you're examining EVERYTHING down there under a microscope at the moment). The sooner you go to your MD, the sooner you'll know what's really up.

Good luck :)
