Hello, I'm a student and I was thinking about becoming a nurse in the future but after Reading som of the comments here (about all the negative sides of being a nurse), I don't know if I should still follow this road. (?)

That's up to you. But if you're not sure? Then don't do it.

OP: Don't worry about a thing. These days when most people don't know what to do with themselves they fall upon becoming a nurse because it's an easy ticket to a living wage. You don't have to do much, not be very smart and the working conditions and hours are great. And then there's all your helpful colleagues who will not miss a chance to mentor you. You know why? Many have taken colleagiality 101 that teaches us how to not bully each other, always be supportive of one another, and constantly be there to help an overwhelmed co-worker with a high acuity assignment that nobody else will take. Why?
Because you're very often a traveller and this gives the regular nurses a chance to rest. But I'm getting ahead of myself here. Sorry about that. I forgot you're a layman.
Really, when you figure out what's going on in nursing the love will just blow you away.
So if you're not sure about nursing, or just about anything else in life, try becoming a nurse where you'll find many great people who feel the same way and act like it.
Remember when all else fails, you can always become a nurse because nursing is always the last resort for folks that figure it pays more than Bojangles or MickeyDs let alone Wal-Mart where many of our quality nurses previously excelled.
So don't let confusion rule you because nursing is always there for those, just like you, who "just got nothin' else to do, I guess."
