Hi, I am in the process of updating my resume so I can start looking for another job. I have a year of experience and I wanted to know do I still need to keep my clinical rotations on there or can I take them off and just leave my current work experience? Also, should I keep any volunteer experiences from college and memberships that I joined from college on there or do I remove them? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!!!

After my first job, which was 2 years med/surg, I took my clinical stuff off my resume because to me it screamed inexperienced/new grad and thats not the message I wanted to convey. So I just put my work experience along with my certifications (ACLS,BLS) and also included some previous non-nursing customer service experience. It worked out well for me.

Remove the Clinical Rotations as they do not add value or set you apart (plus no one wants to read them) Include your volunteer experiences under it's own header. Use plenty of white space to make it visually appealing, and limit it to one page.
Use keywords from the job posting and make your resume skills focused. Best wishes
