need advice-took nclex today!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hello! I took my nclex this am- i feel horrible about it- as soon as it shut off i had this pit in my stomach- i felt that the majority of the test i wasn't doing good- then it shut off around 130-140 questions- i couldn't tell if the questions were easy or hard- i remember my last question- and i think i got it wrong- anyone else feel this way? i also got very discouraged when the test kept going after 75 (the first 75 i felt ok with)

Specializes in Ortho-Trauma 1 year, MOHs surgery 4 year.

I took my NCLEX today too. After the first five questions, I was wondering WHAT LANGUAGE this test was in! It shut down after 75 questions, but I'm telling you, I was comfortable with maybe 20 of those questions! I graduated at the top of my class, but I'm very worried. It seemed like NOTHING I had in class or studied was on that test! Everyone tells me that 75 questions is a good sign, but I also know it could mean GO BACK TO SCHOOL!!!

Ok you two....knock it off! Remember that the odds ARE in your favor, and it seems everyone feels like you guys did....horrible.

Take the night off, do some breathing exercises (followed by some serious relaxation imbibing) and know it's BEHIND you :)

if you had 75 questions, most likely you passed- 75 questions means that you are either far above the passing standard or far below- so chances are- you are fine

It's been 11 years since I took the NCLEX and I still remember about half of my questions... the first three were nutrition (I truly stopped and asked the proctor to be certain I was taking RN boards and not dietitian boards which were also being offered at that testing center!). But the moral of the story is I passed, and you will too and the further out you get from it, the more questions you will remember.

You actually REMEMBER questions?? LOL....when I walked out of tests in school, I was lucky if I could remember a few within that next hour!

I only remember the ones that truly boggle me, now.

At this point in studying (have been doing questions daily for the last 5.5 weeks, with nine days until my exam) I'm happy if I can remember my NAME at the end of the thing.

GOOD! I swear, 62.67 is like "my" number, lol......I planned on doing #6 tomorrow, but I have a Mommy group meeting in the morning until like noon, so I probably won't tackle it in the afternoon. Will definitely do it Wednesday. Then #7 Fri or Sat. I like what someone said about the NCLEX being Question Trainer #8 :)

I'm excited for you...you can do this, and you're going to get your license days before I even test! :)
