need advice...

Hi everyone. Last i took the nclex pn all my categories were near passing standard. I have started studying about a month now. However, instead of really focusing on content i began to just do question 100-150 a day. At first i i used the new saunders pn 5th ed but fwlt questions were too easy. So i purchased the kaplan pn q bank and questions were hard scores not even close to 60 or 70. I decided to just practice practice questions reading every rationale. What do you think is best? Please help. This is not my first time its numerous but first where all categories were near passing. Could it be i lack testing strategies??? HELP!

How do you feel when you are answering questions?? Do you feel like you know the content but are having problems getting the correct answer? If s,o keep up with kaplan to learn the proper test taking strategies.

If you feel like you are not comfortable with the content in the majority of the questions-I would say that you should first review your content and then move on to questions.

I know my content but not to the point of knowing everything. So hard to basically remember every single thing. Too intense. Also i read the rationales and lookup content that i dont remember. I love the kaplan questions. Very challenging and has helped me really think and rationalize before choosing an answer. I usually break it down to the best 2 answers. I see myself really thinking about the question. Also what i noticed today was when answering and looking up a topic i seem to remember the content more than basically reading and not doing questions.usually if i only read it just bypasses my brain the next day. Oh how i can wait to get over this beast!!!!

You know pearson actually sells their own review...and from what I heard it is golden. I have one but I mainly used my nursing education consultants books they have those memory notebooks which are really great and they ship quickly.

I would love to purchase the ncsbn but since im unemployed i need to budget for now. However i also have the exam cram so ive been using that as well. I think i need to practice practice on the question cause from experience the topics they throw at you are not what we study. They want to know if we are safe nurses.. Hopefully this will be my last testing and i can move forward by going back to school....
