Im a newbie, first time posting. I guess im one those ppl. needing advice and support
Just recently I realized that I wanted to be a nurse so I am currently taking nusing pre-req. but I realized that with my low GPA (2.57) I dont think I can get very far. I was taking pre-req for pharm. cuz my mom wanted me to become a pharmacists but I realized that just wasnt for me and during that time I had amily issues. I guess you could say that was my first mistake following someone else's dream. Due to that I wasn't taking my classes seriously. I did REALLY bad in Anat. 1 & Physics, I got a D , recieved C's in Chem 1&2, Anat. 2 and econ. I am residing in Illinois, I go to University of Illinois at Chicago. I am retaking Anat 1 in a community college. I dont have my CNA license. I have only been doing a bunch of volunteer work. I am planning on applying to nursing schools by the end of this year hoping to get in Fall '10 (I Know my chances are very low) ... I dont know what to do, its been constantly bothering me and I keep wishing I could turn back time. I plan to get into a BSN program. Any suggestions about what I can do to increase my chances in getting into a program and what schools you guys would suggest (I dont care where it is even if it has to be out of state).
Please help me ... I need some kind of Hope that my life isnt over because right now I feel like I have no future ...
